Sunday deadline: Help Bill Hedrick win
Pro-peace candidate Bill Hedrick is ready to fight to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan in Congress. We just got word about a potentially game-changing opportunity in his campaign to unseat one of the most corrupt representatives in Congress. But he needs your help to get it.
DFA is offering $25,000 and 2,500 volunteer hours to the candidate who receives the most online votes in their Grassroots All-Stars contest. For a candidate who won’t be receiving loads of money from BP or Lockheed Martin, this support could make a tremendous difference in how many voters he can reach with his progressive message.
I know it’s a lot to ask you to go to another organization’s website and give them your email address, but this could make a huge difference for Bill. I had the pleasure of spending some time this week in the Hedrick campaign office in Riverside making phone calls to voters with their dedicated staff and volunteers. Bill is the real deal, a true peace candidate. His campaign has a clear, achievable plan for victory in November, but they can’t do it without the resources to reach out to voters around the district. They are asking for your help because winning this contest would have a significant impact on their ability to win in November.
