Madelyn Hoffman, Executive Director of New Jersey Peace Action, wrote a terrific rejoinder to a “decline of the peace movement” article published last week by Politico and Common Dreams. Madelyn’s piece is on Op-Ed News, and it reflects a broader view than the other article, especially as she writes from a grassroots organizer’s point of view. Grassroots activism is a real strength of the peace movement, not particularly sexy or easy for reporters to write about, but people of conscience keep the movement vibrant by organizing in their communities every day.
