OR-1: Vote for peace in the November 8th primary election

 In Election 2012

With hawks pushing for maximum military spending and the war in Afghanistan raging, we urgently need voices for peace in Congress. In the November 8th special primary election, you have an opportunity to help send a peace champion to Congress.

That why Peace Action West is supporting Suzanne Bonamici and Brad Avakian in this race.

You are lucky to have two strong candidates in this election who will fight for ending the war in Afghanistan and reinvesting in communities, and share our vision of a world free of nuclear weapons. We know that either one of them will be a welcome addition to Congress as we work to set our foreign policy on the right track. Please find out more about these wonderful candidates and support them when you mail in your primary ballot before November 8th.

These candidates are running against 6 other Democrats and need your support in the crunch time before Election Day. Here’s how you can help:

After meeting with representatives of these campaigns and reading their candidate questionnaires, I’m confident that we can partner with Brad or  Suzanne for a more smart, just and peaceful foreign policy. Please help  them by voting, donating, and volunteering before November 8th.
